Greetings!
Do you need an alternative for your application?  Are you looking for new innovation?  Would you like to see and touch the latest and greatest?  On August 12 we will be hosting an open house for our customers to see the latest and greatest that our premier vendors have to offer!  Stay tuned for more news!  Until then, here is more innovation news.
STOP Motor Failures with the SSAC DLMU

Power interruptions during a storm are common. The overhead 3 phase distribution lines are usually not disconnected at the same time. This means single phasing and motor failures. ABB's updated design of the popular DLM series, the DLMU, provides a universal voltage (200 to 480V), cost effective solution to this problem, and many more. Now, one part number can be used in 80% of all phase voltage protection applications. The DLMU can disconnected a motor at risk eliminating the need for expensive removal, rebuilding or replacement. The new DLMH Series provides phase voltage protection for 600 VAC motors.

 Contrinex Sensors
NEW! From Contrinex

Marine-Quality Sensors are impervious to
Seawater and
Salt Spray!

Contrinex has introduced a line of marine-standard inductive sensors with housings made from AISI 316L stainless steel that is impervious to seawater and salt spray and will not rust in the most extreme maritime environments. In addition to environmental hazards, marine installations are often located in aggressive situations where mechanical elements and control devices need to be physically protected against collision damage.  Machined from a single piece of stainless steel that includes the sensing face, the Marine Series 700 range can withstand extreme impact, high shock levels and is resistant to virtually any chemical stress. The use of patented, sensor technology known as Condet® produces a sensing distance that is, size for size, three times that of conventional sensors and is stable over its full temperature range from -25ºC to +85ºC.

Another advantage of the unique Contrinex technology is that it delivers the same long sensing distances on alloys, such as brass, aluminum and bronze as it does on steel. This ensures practical clearances from targets to be detected without the need for precision set-ups that are often needed with conventional sensors to ensure reliable feedback.

New Expansion Capabilities from Unitronics

The new EX-RC1 remote I/O adapter by Unitronics allows multiple adapters to connect to a single Programmable Logic Controller with up to 8 standard expansion modules to each adapter via CANbus.

By expanding distributed control capabilities and I/O support to a maximum of 512 points, the EX-RC1 allows the Vision PLC's to be used in larger machines and systems, such as conveyors, paper handling and printing. Using the EX-RC1 now allows the Vision units to be placed at a convenient operator stand, and distributes I/O's in different locations on the machine with a single CANbus cable running between the units. Through the CANbus network, a distance of up to 1000m can be achieved. For maximum system flexibility it is also possible to connect several PLCs and several expansion adapters, in one CANbus network.
